Originally the Taxi Cash Register application was used by taxi drivers trying to take their share of the 10% eftpos service fee charged by Cabcharge back into the taxi drivers hands via our simple two receipt solution.
Today it seems that hire car drivers are using the ChargeLess™ virtual meter function to avoid surge pricing and bad customer relations when it comes to regular and repeat customers. Hence a common use today is when a hire car picks up a regular customer (booked directly via phone for example) and they run their our virtual meter to avoid middle guy fees via our app and processing the payment via their own business terminal.
I made the application free for a limited time as I gauge interest for a new application that will even up the playing field as currently the taxi drivers is being smashed by technology with no means to compete with dynamic pricing.
