Backup: 10 years of encrypted data storage in GermanyLogbook dongle: To record trip data Vimcar is using an OBD II dongle which you can easily plug in into the vehicle’s diagnostic socket. The dongle is equipped with a SIM-card and a GPS receiver. Trips are automatically added to your encrypted logbook on the Vimcar server, so the smartphone does not need to be used during the trips. Privacy settings: The integrated GPS receiver is used to support address entries. Only start and destination address are detected, the app does not detect trip routes.
